Our Mission

    Tunkhannock Ambulance is a non-profit, 100% volunteer, community support organization, licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  We are responsible for: emergency medical care and transportation for the sick and injured to the nearest appropriate medical facility, in Tunkhannock Borough, Tunkhannock Township, Eaton Township,  and Lemon Township.  We also handle emergency road/vehicle rescue, water (dive) rescue, emergency transfers from Tyler Memorial to other area hospitals, and search and rescue within the above communities -- 24 hours a day.  

    In addition, we may provide (with personnel availability/operational considerations permitting) non-emergency transportation for our members whose conditions make travel by ambulance medically necessary.  This could include transportation from a local hospital to the patient’s residence or from one area hospital to another, where the patient is to be admitted.
